Organic & Biodynamic. A blend of syrah, merlot, caladoc, cabernet sauvignon, grenache, cabernet franc, and carignan.
The Cigalus estate benefits from a warm and sunny Mediterranean climate allowing for an advanced ripening of all the grape varieties.
Intense ruby in color with hints of mahogany. The nose is heavy with concentrated ripe black fruit notes, smoky spice and toasted oak. The palate is rich with lush, velvety tannins. The aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherries, and plums reappear with a burnt earthiness giving way to mint. The finish is long and perfectly balanced.
Pair with roasted red meat, stewed poultry, and ripened cheeses. It is recommended to let this wine breathe for a couple of hours before serving.
